In the past few years there has been a growing demand for environmentally friendly homes. While many people want to minimise their carbon footprint and almost everyone wants to save money on the cost of fuel, the Scottish Government plans a 30% reduction in carbon emissions from new buildings and the Scottish Planning Policy emphasises that planning decisions should take climate change into account.
In keeping with this trend, a number of eco-friendly new-build developments are popping up around Scotland at the moment. Many new homes for sale in Scotland now incorporate some form of sustainability or environmentally friendly feature as part of their design and construction, but some house builders have gone that little bit further to integrate environmental matters in their new homes developments.
