Redrow Part Exchange Scheme Helps Buyers Move Quickly

February 21 2011

After the birth of their daughter Grace, Steven and Alexis Ayling started thinking about moving to a larger house, but they weren’t sure the housing market was strong enough for them to sell their three-bedroom Saltcoats property and also find the perfect family home. However, with plenty of new homes for sale in Ayrshire, the search went on.

“We went to look at the Redrow show home at Whitehirst Grange in Kilwinning and thought it looked lovely,” says Steven, “but didn’t think that we would be able to sell our old home in the current climate. Linda, the sales consultant, explained about part-exchange and how it would help us move up the property ladder.”

By providing a guaranteed buyer for the existing home, Redrow Homes’ Part Exchange scheme takes a lot of stress out of moving house. There is no need to worry about prospective buyers dropping out due to a broken chain and, with no estate agent fees to pay, you’ll save a small fortune.

Steven adds: “Part-exchange couldn’t have been easier, it was absolutely brilliant. Everyone says that the most stressful things are getting married, having a baby and moving house. I’ve moved house before and it has been stressful, but this time it wasn’t at all.”

The Aylings now live in Kilwinning and have a lovely family home on Redrow’s Whitehirst Grange development. The couple opted for the ‘Roadford’ house style for its spacious rooms and family-friendly layout, from range of three- and four-bedroom homes available at the semi-rural Whitehirst Grange.

“Our home features Redrow’s newest specification interiors and you can tell how they’ve improved on the designs. They’re more modern and the family, kitchen and dining area is cracking!” says Steven.

Steven and Alexis are thrilled to be in their new home and relish the little touches that come with purchasing a new-build property. “The house we were in before was two years old when we moved in and, while no house is perfect, it’s the little things that make a difference, like the walls being white rather than magnolia,” explains Steven.

A new show home is open Thursday to Monday from 10am to 5.30pm at Whitehirst Grange. The part exchange scheme is available on selected homes at the development and, provided criteria are met, Redrow can usually make an offer within 48 hours.

Graemeslea from Redrow Homes

This weekend, there are discounts of up to £40,000 at Graemeslea, the Redrow executive development in Aberuthven

A development of spacious new homes in Aberuthven, south-west of Perth, some prices have been discounted by up to £40,000 at Graemeslea. There are just a few four- and five-bedroom houses left for sale, all finished to Redrow’s highest specification and priced from £270,000 to £385,000. Set in countryside yet just an hour away from both Glasgow and Edinburgh, the development would be ideal for an executive with a family.

Middlebank Rise is located east of Dunfermilne, ideally placed for the M90 motorway linking Perth to the Forth Road Bridge, and is 25 minutes from Edinburgh by car. Two-bedroom apartments at the scheme start at £122,500, with two-, three- and four-bedroom houses priced from £129,000 to £230,000, including some designs from Redrow’s New Heritage Collection of Arts and Crafts-inspired houses. Redrow is offering part-exchange deals on selected plots as well as a range of other special incentives this weekend.

In Inverkip, there’s a range of three- and four-bedroom houses for sale at Sylvan Brae, priced £171,000 to £205,000. A world away from the bustle of Glasgow on the Renfrewshire coast, the town is only 45 minutes way by car. There is also a rail service into the city from the local station. Inverclyde has some stunning coastal and rural scenery and is a wildlife haven, with many sports and outdoor activities available in the surrounding area.

At its Whitehirst Grange development, Redrow’s new homes in Kilwinning also benefit from a combination of proximity to the coast, some delightful countryside and good commuter links. There are three- and four-bedroom homes here with prices ranging from £175,000 to £255,000. Kilwinning itself is undergoing a substantial regeneration scheme at present and there is a country park, numerous beautiful beaches and some of Scotland’s best golf courses all accessible in a short drive (no pun intended!) from the development.
