A house manager is on hand to look after the site and the communal facilities, which include a laundry room, central lounge and a guest suite for visiting friends and family. A 24-hour personal emergency service and TV security system on the main entrance provide extra peace of mind.

July 11 2011

Mactaggart & Mickel has received approval from East Renfrewshire Council for its plans to create 39 new homes in Uplawmoor. Work is expected to start on the scheme in 2012. The company was recently crowned Small Housebuilder of the Year at the Scottish Home Awards 2011. The plans for the scheme utilise a number of existing house styles from the company’s portfolio, including the award-winning ‘Arran’ design. The company will also finance improvements to the local primary school, children’s recreation facilities and pedestrian links.

Located just half an hour south of central Glasgow, reaching the city from Uplawmoor is easy thanks to the A736/M77 and a rail link from nearby Neilston station. For domestic and international air travellers, the airports at Prestwick and Glasgow are both around half an hour away. Some lovely countryside is right on the doorstep and the beaches and golf courses of the Ayrshire coast are within a short drive.

Mactaggart & Mickel has created numerous developments in East Renfrewshire in the pastm with two current schemes for sale in Newton Mearns. Mallot’s Brae and Cherrybank Gardens both feature an appealing assortment of property types to suit many different types of buyers. Also set for 2012 is a new scheme in Eaglesham that will feature some 121 new homes, for which the housebuilder has already received planning permission.
