Cruden Homes has super pre-Christmas deals in Stirling

December 21 2011

There’s a very special pre-Christmas opportunity available from Cruden Homes, which is offering house hunters in Stirling a super deal at its Stirling Bridge development. The company has cut reservation fees to just £99, with nothing more to pay until March 2012, and has linked this incentive to two further exceptional offers.

The first offer means successful house purchasers can get their five per cent deposit paid and have floor coverings included in the price of their new home. The second option is a shared equity scheme, where new homeowners only have to pay 85% of the purchase price up front, with 15% deferred for up to ten years, interest-free.

Stirling Bridge from Cruden Homes

Just four 3-bed homes are available with the special deals that have been introduced by Cruden Homes in the run-up to Christmas

As these exceptional offers are only available up to Christmas, prospective buyers will have to move quickly, especially as there are only four homes remaining at this development of new homes in Scotland’s youngest city. All the remaining houses for sale at the Stirling Bridge development are  three-bedroom terraced homes, priced from £134,995. If , however, customers take up the company’s 85%/15%  shared equity option, the up-front price comes down to a very attractive £114,745, requiring a much lower deposit and mortgage.

These remaining houses enjoy a traditional layout and a high-quality specification. The lower floor on each house has a cloakroom, fully fitted kitchen/dining room and separate living room, and French doors leading out on to the rear garden. The upper floor incorporates a family bathroom and three bedrooms, and the master bedroom has an en suite shower room and built-in wardrobe. All the homes benefit from double glazing and gas central heating, and have a private garden and a two-car driveway.

The Stirling Bridge development has a great location in the north-west of the city, just a few minutes from the A84 and M9, making it a good choice for commuters to Glasgow, Edinburgh and Perth. The city centre is also close by, boasting an historic castle and a raft of up-to-date amenities and shops.

The rest of this successful Cruden Homes’ development features an attractive  mix of apartments, terraces, detached and semi detached homes and interested house hunters are urged to visit Stirling Bridge or call 0845 474 8909 soon to pick up one of these seasonal offers.

Soltire Award salutes Springfield’s innovative approach

December 20 2011

The Saltire Society has acknowledged Springfield Properties’ work  on an innovative package to fund affordable new homes in Scotland with a prestigious award. The  ‘Innovation in Housing” award – the first of its kind -was presented recently at the Saltire Society Housing Design Awards. It was shared by Springfield and its partners Dunedin Canmore Group and Rettie & Co., for their joint work on the Resonance funding model.

Originally the brainchild of property consultants Rettie & Co, and later piloted by Dunedin Canmore and Springfield, Resonance is a new approach to affordable housing that encourages the building of more affordable properties around Scotland. Clearly highly successful, the pilot has already delivered some 75 new homes in Scotland and there are  80 more homes in the pipeline, due to be built in 2012.

Springfield Properties chairman Sandy Adam says: “At Springfield we believe that everyone in Scotland should have a decent place to live; as a developer we have the opportunity to contribute through the quality of our housing; through promoting both private and affordable new homes; and by innovating to introduce schemes such as Resonance which allow more homes to be built.”

Matthew Benson, director of Rettie & Co, adds: “Winning the Saltire Award for ‘Innovation in Housing’ is a great achievement. A huge collaborative effort has been put in by the combined team, working closely with City of Edinburgh Council and the Scottish Government to bring forward this Funding Model. Its great strength is its replicability, scalability and its ability to deliver housing across all tenures. Moray Apartments Joppa is now built and occupied and there are a further 700+ units that can be delivered in the same way across Edinburgh, not to mention other locations.”
