Kittoch Court in East Kilbride is one development to benefit from the McCarthy & Stone summer offer
“We’re keen to reassure buyers that now is a good time to make their move, and our £20,000 discount on one-bedroom apartments will make that move much more affordable for a wide range of buyers,” says Suzanne McElhiney, marketing manager at McCarthy & Stone. “A £20,000 discount could be the difference between making that move into retirement living or having to delay the decision. As always we aim to keep the actual process of buying and selling very easy, simple and un-stressful for customers – leaving them free to look forward to enjoying retirement life in their new apartment.”
Plus, for a limited period, new potential buyers viewing the show homes at any participating development of new homes in Scotland will be given a £20 M&S voucher, subject to terms and conditions.

Developments offer residents all the freedom they are used to but also the reassurance that help is easily available if needed. A house manager is on hand to look after the site and the communal facilities, which include a laundry room, central lounge and a guest suite for visiting friends and family. A 24-hour personal emergency service and TV security system on the main entrance provide extra peace of mind.

Ayrshire has always been popular with homebuyers and with the recently completed M77 road link significantly reducing the commute to Glasgow, this shows little sign of changing. House hunters looking to find a property in the west of Scotland won’t be disappointed by the selection of new homes on offer in the area.
Among the current choice of new-build properties for sale in Ayrshire is Barratt Homes‘ Grangewood development in Kilwinning. First-time buyers, growing families and downsizers are all catered for in this collection of two- and three-bedroom houses and four-bedroom townhouses. Each home has a contemporary design and prices range from £155,995 for a three-bedroom end terrace property to £176,995 for a four-bedroom townhouse with breakfasting kitchen and a garage. Families will be pleased to find a good choice of both primary and secondary schools nearby.
Situated around 15 miles east of Ayr, Cherrytrees in Cumnock is a Stewart Milne Homes development with a luxurious character. Boasting an excellent specification, this development of four- and five-bedroom homes is sure to impress. Two house types are currently available at Cherrytrees, including the four-bedroom ‘Thorntonhall’, which is priced from £249,995 and features a separate lounge and formal dining room as well as an open plan kitchen/family/dining area with French doors leading to the rear garden. Two en-suite bedrooms and a ‘bonus room’ which would make a great den or playroom make this perfect for family life.

For those with larger families or who want space for a home office, the five-bedroom ‘Eddleston’ is priced from £266,500. The kitchen/breakfast room is flanked by a family room on one side and formal dining room on the other, both of which provide access to the garden. The master bedroom boasts the luxury of walk-in wardrobes in addition to an en suite.
Buyers on a tighter budget will appreciate the range of two-, three- and four-bedroom homes priced from £96,995 to £204,995 at The Ivy in Kilmarnock. Properties at the Persimmon Homes development include the ‘Stronnach’ apartment, a stylish home that has a lounge with bay window, separate kitchen, two bedrooms and bathroom, with private parking included. At the other end of the scale, the ‘Wexford’ is a four-bedroom detached house with dining room, study and a master bedroom with en suite and fitted wardrobes.
Ladykirk Place is a David Wilson Homes development in Monkton on the outskirts of Prestwick. Six different styles of three-, four- and five-bedroom properties are still available here with prices starting from £156,995 for a three-bedroom semi-detached home. The house builder’s usual high standard specification can be seen throughout the development and in features such as a private garage, en-suites and gardens. The tranquil countryside setting provides a rural feel despite the proximity of these new homes in Scotland to Prestwick and the amenities the town has to offer.

CALA Homes (West) has unveiled a new show home at Belleview, the house builder’s latest North Lanarkshire development. People looking to find a property in the West of Scotland are urged to get in quickly as there are just 10 detached family homes being built at the exclusive new development in Chryston.
“Homebuyers who desire the beauty of a village, but the convenience of a central location, should look no further than Belleview at Chryston,” says Aileen Lafferty, Sales Manager at CALA Homes (West). “This rural retreat is proving to be very popular, and I’m sure that the launch of our spectacular ‘Logan’ show home will attract many visitors to the development.”
Taken from the house builder’s Signature Collection, the ‘Logan’ is a five-bedroom family home that has been expertly decorated and furnished by Blocc Interiors. The designers have used the property’s sense of light and space to create a real contemporary feel.
The formal lounge has been given a lavish look with gold and silver hues being accented with touches of teal. An impressive chandelier and the feature mirror hung above the focal point fireplace finish the room. The hub of the home is the open plan kitchen, family and dining area. The kitchen includes integrated Siemens appliances and is given a luxurious feel by the neutral colour scheme and contemporary furnishings. French doors lead from the dining area onto the decking section of the landscaped rear garden so meals can easily be enjoyed outdoors in the summer months. A utility room off the kitchen also gives access to the garage.

One of the luxury house types available from CALA Homes at Belleview is the 5-bed 'Lewis'The open-plan kitchen/dining area makes for convivial meal times, and benefits from French doors leading out to the decking area of the landscaped rear garden. The Siemens appliances of the kitchen and neutral colours and contemporary furnishings used really bring a luxurious feel to this important social space. It is practical too, with a useful utility room off the kitchen giving access to the garage.
Upstairs, a galleried landing leads to five bedrooms and the family bathroom. The master bedroom features an en suite complete with his-and-hers basins, while the shimmery wall covering nicely complements the dark wood finishes. Natural colours have been chosen for the second bedroom, which also benefits from an en suite, giving it a fresh and relaxing air. The three other bedrooms have been designated a guest room and two children’s rooms, the latter decked out in bright hues.
Commuters will find Chryston has excellent links to Glasgow, Stirling and Edinburgh, while shoppers are conveniently place for The Glasgow Fort with it’s range of shops and restaurants. A choice of good schools in the area makes these new homes in Scotland perfect for buyers with a young family. The village is surrounded by countryside and the views over the Campsie Hills give it a rural feel.

Taking the pressure off house hunters saving for a deposit, Stewart Milne Homes is launching a new deposit-free 100% lending offer on a selection of its new-build homes in Scotland. Buyers opting for a family home will find the offer available on a wide selection of two-, three-, four-, five- and six-bedroom houses for sale at many of the house builder’s Scottish developments. On top of that, people searching for a one-, two- or three-bedroom apartments can take advantage of a mortgage requiring only a 5% deposit, which is significantly less that the standard rate of around 25% high street lenders are asking for at the moment.
A series of events has been arranged by the company to let potential buyers have a look around the developments and find out more about the financing offers available. Independent financial advisors will be on hand at each event to provide individually tailored advice with no obligation to buy.

Stewart Milne Homes is holding events to explain its new finance initiative across Scotland in April
The company has now organised a series of homebuyer events in April so that house-hunters can visit the developments in person and find out more about the options available to them. At each event will be independent financial advisers who will give no-obligation, one-to-one advice tailored to each homebuyer. Dates and locations for these events are as follows:
John Slater of Stewart Milne Homes says: “We are committed to keeping homebuyers on the move and investing in straightforward, effective solutions to common challenges such as saving for a deposit. This deposit-free finance is the latest addition to our range of purchase plans and we are pleased to be one of the only housebuilders in Scotland to be offering such a sought-after and affordable purchase plan.”
Acknowledging that raising the money for a new property can be a barrier for homeowners and first-time buyers alike, he adds: “We are offering the 100% funding across all our houses – from two-bedroom styles right through to six-bedroom detached villas, to enable first-time buyers to growing families to secure their ideal home.”
